Corporate Event Lighting: Bringing The Sun and Stars

This year's Upfront Summit, a corporate event, the over 1,000 guests enjoyed the sun and stars of Hollywood in more ways than one. The event design, produced by Diana Rayzman of RG Live, a long-time organizer of the event, and her team took place in three studios at The Lot in Los Angeles.

In the first studio, guests were greeted by a sunny scene with clouds and blue skies under which they enjoyed morning coffee and networking. After, they were ushered into a theater formed by bringing two studios together. There, content ran all afternoon on a stage designed and executed by John Fredenzi of Town and Country Event Rentals, with audio and tech support provided by Show Pro. Above the audience, 42 four- and eight-foot stars were installed in the ceiling and changed color depending on the stage design that day.

In addition to lighting these stars and the stage, our Lighting Designer, Lonnie Thompson, and his team from Images by Lighting installed more than 400 lighting fixtures to light more than 65 speakers -- a lineup of celebrities from the financial, tech, and entertainment industries who came together to discuss the future of fundraising, upcoming startups, and new technology in the industry. During these two days, our team also helped oversee a drone show, and the lighting of a magician-mentalist and a full 23-piece acapella group.

The starry theme extended to the lunch and evening events, creating a cohesive and enchanting atmosphere as guests from around the world networked and conducted business under the real and simulated blue skies.
